FREDERICTON – New Brunswick’s health minister is urging people to consider their options for care other than going to a hospital emergency room.

Dorothy Shephard says 60 per cent of the province’s typical emergency department patients could be treated outside hospital by their family doctorhours afte, by a pharmacist, at a walk-in clinic or by calling the 811 health line.
